Watauga County Sheriff Len Hagaman said the sheriff’s office received a report of someone communicating threats around Roby Green Road in Boone on December 25th.
When officers arrived, they saw a red Chevrolet pickup and a green minivan. Hagaman said officers saw several individuals in the area who appeared to be in an altercation and one of these individuals was holding a firearm.
Officers ordered the individual to drop the gun. Authorities then confiscated the weapon for security purposes.
Hagaman said a routine check of the firearm showed that it was entered as stolen by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office in November.
Officers then arrested 31-year-old Shawn Marvin Thomas Lambert of Boone and 26 year-old Donna Louise Greer of Todd and charged them with possession of a stolen firearm.
The two were placed under a $5,000 bond with a January 30th court date.
