The Bank of America on N.C. 127 in Viewmont was robbed Friday.
Police believe the culprit may have been the individual responsible for last Tuesday’s robbery at the Bank of Granite in Mountain View. Around 11:45 Friday, someone matching the wanted man’s description walked into the bank and demanded money. While he threatened to use a weapon, he did not display one, according to police. The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot, police say. The man was wearing an orange tee shirt and a beige baseball cap. Police are looking for a white man in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, possibly driving an older model Oldsmobile car or Ford Ranger pickup truck. Anyone with information should call Hickory police at 828-328-5551.
