Next Watauga and Ashe County square off on Friday night.

Watauga's Lady Pioneers secured their third win in a row on the 2008-09 season with Tuesday nights 74-67 win over Wilkes Central. With the victory the Pioneers have now posted seven straight wins over the Eagles. Lady Pioneers improve to 4-2 overall.

 

Nicole Tesh lead Watauga with 29 points and 15 rebounds.

 

The varsity men fell short against the Eagles losing 68-59. 

Watauga was lead by Jeff Newell with 19 points, as they fall to 2-4 overall on the season.

Eagles improve to 3-1 overall.

 

Next up: Ashe County in West Jefferson, NC on Friday night.
