The Boone Chamber of Commerce presented awards to area
businesses yesterday.
The Community Advocate Award was presented to Bandana’s
Restaurant. The Employer of the Year award was awarded to Waters Brothers
Construction. The company has 35 full time employees. The awards did not stop
there, however. The Alfred Adams Leadership Award was presented to Appalachian
State University. This is a significant coincidence in that Alfred Adams was
not only a Watauga County banker, he was also an ASU trustee.
