GE Aviation is planning a massive expansion of the old Smiths plant in West Jefferson. This is great news for West Jefferson according to Town Planner Matt Levi.

By 2009, GE will invest over $45 million in new equipment and increase employment to at least 300 workers. The rotating parts plant has a bright future according to GE officials.
