2007 Mayland Community College graduate Ashley Hudgins has been awarded a full scholarship to Appalachian State University. The scholarship is unique in that it is awarded to dependents of combat veterans who are 25 years old or younger. While at Mayland, Hudgins was president of the Student Government Association.
