| Boone native earns government internship |

Angela Shook of Boone is one of the 98 North Carolina college, graduate and law students selected for a ten week summer internship with a state agency.The students were announced by Governor Mike Easley. The Government Internship Program is in its 37th year. Shook is a senior psychology student at Appalachian State University. She has accepted the Community Corrections internship at Boone’s Community Corrections office.
