Kennedy’s lecture, called “Our Environmental Destiny,” will bring up the role that natural resources play in our work, our health, and our identity as Americans.
Kennedy is one of the nationals foremost environmental leaders, he serves as Chair of the Board of Waterkeeper Alliance and Senior Attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council.
This won’t be Kennedy’s first trip to the High Country, as just last September, he visited Blowing Rock to announce the launch of the Watauga Riverkeeper Program.
The lecture is presented by ASU’s Office of Academic Affairs, the university’s Sustainable Development Program, and Appalachian Voices.
Kennedy will speak on Thursday, October 23rd at 8:00 p.m. at Farthing Auditorium.
