Last week, Judge James Downs ruled the forced annexation of several areas around the Village of Sugar Mountain was unlawful.Based on the findings, the petitioners will be reimbursed of all court costs. Officials within the Village are hinting a possible appeal may be in order. The decision was a victory for the Citizens Against the Annexation who has spent the last year making signs and petitions, including a large billboard on highway 105.
