Earlier this week in Catawba County, a Hickory convenience store was robbed at gunpoint.
The robbery happened around 2 a.m. at the Grab N Go/Texaco on U.S. 321. According to reports, the suspect was wearing a mask and demanded money from the cash register. After the clerk said she could not open the safe, the thief fled on foot. A surveillance camera may have caught the suspect on tape. So far, the suspect is described as white, wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information is encouraged to call their closest law enforcement agency.
