According to Investigator Matt Stevens of the Boone Police Department, on Tuesday, September 9th, a man entered two Kangaroo Express convenience stores in Boone. The suspect is reported to have then lured the clerks away from the register areas, then went behind the counters and stole items from the clerks’ purses.
The suspect is a white male of average height and slim build, with short brown hair and a short brown beard with a moustache. Stevens reports the man was wearing a white short-sleeved button down shirt, white shorts, and dark colored work boots. The suspect was also seen driving a white Ford Taurus with a temporary North Carolina tag.
