Happy Valley, Caldwell County--According to WSOC-TV, a man shot two SWAT officers in Caldwell County, N.C. Wednesday night, according to deputies.

The officers returned fire and shot the suspect.  The officers tried to serve a warrant along Highway 268 in the Happy Valley area.

Emergency workers rushed the deputies to the hospital, and they were expected to survive.

The condition of the suspect was not immediately available Wednesday night.  Deputies said the suspect was in surgery.

Deputies closed part of Highway 268 Wednesday night to collect evidence near Highway 321.
