Bill to cap medical malpractice damages supported in House PDF Print

Doctors and lawyers are supporting a bill that would cap monetary damages at $1 million in some medical malpractice cases.

The bill was approved by the house this week by a vote of 110-3 and now goes to the Senate. The North Carolina Medical Society and the N.C. Academy of Trial Lawyers are both in support of the bill.
