At 7 p.m. tonight in the Avery County courthouse, the state Department ofEnvironmental and Natural Resources is set to conduct a public hearing on a proposed Rock Quarry that has caused quite a bit of controversy. Anyone with opinions on the issue is encouraged to come out and let his or her voice be heard.
