It’s EMS Week until May 26. Watauga Medics Director Craig Sullivan told us a bit about Watauga Medics.
Formed in 1999 the company provides full-time EMS services, including emergency response and rural patient transport. In 2006, Watauga Medics answered over 4 thousand calls. As part of the 34th annual EMS Week, Friday and Saturday marks the National EMS Memorial Service and the Annual National Moment of Silence. The event honors EMS providers who have given their lives in the line of duty. All EMS and communications agencies participating will observe 60 seconds of radio silence at 8:00 p.m.
