Roof Thieves, Mailbox Vandals, and Timber Robbers: Watauga County Crime Stoppers PDF Print

Someone broke into an abandoned sawmill in Deep Gap at the intersection with V. L. Moretz Road and Deep Gap Road.  The offender, or offenders, took a copper rooftop cupola and weathervane from the rooftop.  The suspect also vandalized the office.  This occurred sometime during the last three weeks

A mailbox in the 1100 block of Rich Mountain Road was damaged on June 24th.  The suspect put fireworks in the mailbox.  This caused the mailbox and contents to be damaged.

Sometime between the evening of June 23rd and the next morning, a considerable amount of lumber was taken from a home construction site on Twin Hollows Lane in Sugar Grove.  Twin Hollows is off of Old Hwy 421 North, approximately three miles from U.S. Highway 321.
