Two men, who, according to reports, were attempting to steal chickens in Crossnore, ran into an unusual dilemma.

The owner had had chickens stolen before and had a beaver trap set up on his property which one of the men stepped on. The incident occurred at Walt Clark Road. According to Frye, pressing charges will be up to the individuals involved. No charges have been filed at this time.
