Rabies is something Ashe County Animal Control takes seriously, according to Officer Dana Shatley.
Over thirty cases were reported last year in Ashe County, and several have been confirmed since January.
According to Shatley, it’s easy to vaccinate your pet. Rabies Clinics will be held through Friday, including tonight at 4:30 at New River Fire Department, 5:00 at New River Store in Scottsville and 5:30 at Nathans Creek General Store. For a complete list of times and locations, contact Ashe County Animal Clinic at 336-246-2341.
