41-year-old Jimmy Lee Blevins of Crumpler has been missing since late February, according to Ashe County Sheriff’s Office, whose deputies found a cooking crockpot and nothing out of the ordinary at Blevins’ residence.
This week, Blevins’ family is offering a $5,000 reward in a desperate plea for information. Sheriff James Williams hopes the reward will motivate someone to come forward. His office has been working tirelessly since February on the case and is still puzzled as to Blevins’ whereabouts.
Though he is continuing to investigate all leads, Williams believes it has become a recovery, not a rescue mission.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Ashe County Sheriff’s Office at 336-219-2600.
