Starting today, the Public Utilities Department will be closing West King Street/Highway 421 in front of the Mast General Store in Boone for water and sewer repairs. The road will be closed from 7 p.m. until the job is completed tomorrow. Traffic will be detoured utilizing Grand Boulevard to Queen Street and Depot Street. If weather interferes, an alternate date will be selected.
