If you have snail-mail correspondence- do it today.
Starting Monday, the U.S. Postal Service will increase the first-class postage rate from 39 to 41 cents. A new release called the Forever Stamp, however, will be forever useful in terms of first-class postage, regardless of how much the price of stamps rises. While the 39 cent stamps need a two cent stamp companion, the new Forever stamps, if purchased today, will still be good after future rate hikes, no companion necessary.
