Newland man faces drug charge PDF Print

Yesterday, Avery County deputies discovered 5 marijuana plants in a home, according to Sheriff Kevin Frye.

21-year-old Christopher Nyberg of Newland was charged with manufacturing a schedule 6 controlled substance, attempting to manufacture a schedule 6 and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nyberg was held on a $2,500 secured bond and $1,000 unsecured bond.
