Just after 11:30 p.m. last night three men armed with a shotgun and baseball bats invaded an apartment on Park Street in Boone.

Today, police are actively searching for suspects.

The male and two females occupying the apartment say they heard a knock at the door. Upon answering the door, the three were confronted by two white males and a black male. All three suspects were described to be in their early twenties, wearing hooded sweatshirts and bandanas over their faces. One of the white male suspects is alleged to have been armed with a shotgun. The other two men had baseball bats, witnesses say.

The apartment residents told police the suspects demanded money and were given a wallet containing a small amount of cash. The suspects then left the area in what police believe was a blue Scion automobile.

No injuries were sustained in the incident.
