Yesterday at 3:15, a 10-year-old child sustained head injuries when he ran into a car, according to Boone Police Captain Curtis Main.

"The kid came out between two parked cars, ran into the vehicle that was going into the parking lot and fell and sustained head injuries when he hit the pavement," Main said.

The incident occurred at the Mountaineer Restaurant on 421. The child was transported to Baptist Hospital. The driver was not at fault, according to Main, and no charges will be filed.
