Police are still looking for the person or persons responsible for vandalizing the Banner House Museum sign, says Banner Elk Police Chief Bill Burleson.

The sign broke in three pieces and was valued at over $1,000. The Banner House Museum, set to open in June, is located near the Mill Pond in Banner Elk. According to Burleson, police have no ideas about vandal's identity.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to call Banner Elk Police Department at 828-898-4300.
