Micki Early, director of academic advising and orientation at Appalachian State University, has received the 2007 Harvey R. Durham for Outstanding Freshman Advocate Award.
The annual award recognized Early for her contributions to improving the freshman experience at ASU. Colleagues, like director of ASU marketing communications, Patrick Setzer, are not surprised. Early has worked at ASU for 25 years, and was named director of orientation in 1998.
