A unique event hits the High Country Saturday. The Watauga Humane Society is having a pet show!
All pets are welcome, as long as they are on a leash or in a carrier. Boone Mayor Loretta Clawson will be among judges, and every pet that enters will be a winner. Ugliest Dog, Best Dressed, and Most Talented are among the contests. The highlight of the day, however, is a high-class fashion show with some rather unique models. According to the Society’s Lynn Northup the models are the pets! They will be available for adoption after the show.
