Watauga High School senior football star Eric Breitenstein made it official yesterday: he’s signed to play football next year at Wofford College. Breitenstein leaves a stunning Watauga High School career. Breitenstein ran for 2,445 yards and scored 29 touchdowns during his senior year. He was also named first team all-state by the Associated Press and was selected to play in the Shrine Bowl. He was Watauga's first Shrine Bowl selection in 28 years.
“High school football is definitely over now, but now I’ve got four more years, four or five more years to keep on going, so it will be a lot of fun.”
The decision to go to Wofford was not made lightly.
