Two Arrests have been reported in Avery County. Seventeen year old Phillip Metcalf of Bent Road in Avery County has been arrested for statutory rape; a class c felony. He’s currently under a 75 thousand dollar bond in the Avery County Jail. In an unconnected incident, Robin Spivey of Crossnore was charged with larceny of a motorcycle in Florida.
