The Power to Control What you Spend is an ongoing project of North Carolina Cooperative Extension and North Carolina State University. The Extension office is offering energy audits to qualified home owners in Ashe County.
Professional energy auditors will conduct a 3 to 4 hour inspection of your
home including a blower door test to check for house holes and energy leaks. Auditors will provide homeowners with a written evaluation and recommendations on ways to improve the home’s energy efficiency. Then, the homeowners will be responsible for acting on those recommendations, making energy efficient changes in their home and habits. A $500.00 value, these audits will cost homeowners $100.00 through this special program; there are
a limited number of audits available. Extension will be scheduling the audits soon. ontact Carolyn Shepherd, Interim County Extension Director, at North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Ashe County Center at (336) 219-2650 for more information.
