Smoked Church Causes Cancellation PDF Print

A second Saturday morning fire damaged a Boone church, as just before 8am, Boone Fire was called to the Boone Advent Christian Church. Smoke was found in a back section of the church, permeating the rest of the structure, but arriving Boone Firemen found that the smoke came from a pot of meat, left alone while preparing for a Senior Citizen Luncheon. Boone firemen were able to take the pot—still smoking—outside, and begin the process of airing out the Church, but church officials announced on their website that “There is quite a bit of smoke damage (and the smell of burnt pork!).” And they said, “A professional cleaning crew has arrived and is taking care of the church.” Due to the clean-up all church services have been cancelled for today at Boone Advent Christian Church
