With his first career medalist honor on Tuesday at the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational, freshman Caleb Keck has been named Southern Conference Men’s

Golfer of the Week for tournaments played April 11-16, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Keck polished off the Invitational with a 67-70-72=209 (-7), one shot better than runner-up, Charles Moore of Wofford. Keck’s opening round 67 (-5) was a new career-low and his first score in the 60s, topping his previous career-low of 72. For the season, the Reidsville, N.C. native carries a 74.22 stroke average for 18 rounds.
The freshman looks to lead the Mountaineers in next week’s Southern Conference Championship, beginning on Sunday, April 21 at the Ralston Creek Course of the Daniel Island Club in Charleston, S.C. The three-round tournament features 11 SoCon teams.
