Storm Wins Tournament Title PDF Print

The Watauga Storm 15-and-under boy's basketball team extended its record to 19-4 by winning the Spring Jam Tournament at the East Tennesee Sports Complex in Elizabethton, TN., Saturday. The Storm won both of its pool-play games and claimed the top seed in bracket play.
They defeated Velocity Sports of Bristol, TN., 51-44 in their first-round game. Watauga defeated RBC AC Reynolds from Asheville, N.C., 60-27 in the second round.
The Storm continued its impressive run by knocking off the Bristol Vikings, 64-53, in the semifinals; the Storm won the championship by blasting The Chosen Few from Johnson City, TN., 61-35 in the finals.
