|Bears Blow Four-Goal Lead, Lose Third Straight|

The Coker Men's Lacrosse Team (3-10) rallied from a four-goal deficit to defeat Lenoir-Rhyne (8-7), 12-9, Saturday evening at Byerly Park.
Coker's Keith LaClair (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Steven Zolezzi (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) both scored four goals as the Cobras upended the Bears and snapped their three-match losing streak. L-R, which ended the first period with a 4-0 lead, was paced by junior Sam Ashton's (New Market, Md.) three goals on the night.
Lenoir-Rhyne sophomores Tanner Botts (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Ned Kaish (Atlanta, Ga.) both scored twice as well but the Bears lost their third consecutive contest. Ryan Vento (Bellmore, N.Y.) gave the Cobras a 6-5 advantage with 11:59 remaining in the third period with what would prove to be the game-winning goal.
Ryan Maurer (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) added two goals and three assists for Coker, who held the advantage in both shots taken (40-35) and ground balls (49-33) in the win. In goal, Coker's Tim Ryan (Glocester, R.I.) stopped 14 shots en route to the victory while Lenoir-Rhyne junior Steven McGhee (Durham, N.C.) made 16 saves despite the loss.
Lenoir-Rhyne will host the semifinals of the Deep South Conference Tournament on Thursday at Moretz Stadium. Coker hosts Young Harris on Wednesday afternoon beginning at 3:00 p.m.
