Three Hurt in Multi-Car Crash in Vilas PDF Print
Written by Steve Frank

There were at least three injuries and at least four vehicles involved in an early afternoon wreck today in Vilas just west of the Brushy Fork Baptist Church.  The collision involved a sequence of rear-end collisions in the north-bound lane, with Watauga Medics eventually sending three ambulances to the scene.  While the roadway was blocked with wrecked vehicles and emergency vehicles in both lanes, another medical call at Riverview Grocery caused another Watauga Medics ambulance to have to wind its way through the wreckage to reach a man in his 40’s who had suffered injuries in a traffic accident earlier in the day, said to be not alert—that ambulance having to navigate the wreckage twice going to and from its call. Meanwhile, the state patrol started their investigation into the 1:20pm multi-vehicle crash while Watauga Deputies and Cove Creek firemen directed traffic around the scene.
