Fuquay-Varina High School named Jeb Hall its new head football coach on Friday. Hall had been the co-defensive coordinator last season. He inherits a team that was 7-5 last season.

Hall, who played collegiately at Western Carolina University, has been at Fuquay-Varina for nine seasons. He arrived at Fuquay-Varina from McDowell where he coached with David Riggs, who led Fuquay-Varina from 2004-2007. Hall was at Franklin before he joined Riggs at McDowell.
Hall replaces Ryan Habich, who was named the new football coach at Watauga in February. Habich, who was at Fuquay-Varina for eight years, including five as head coach was 50-14, and his teams made the state playoffs every year. In 2008, 2009 and 2010, Habich led his teams to 11-win seasons, including an appearance in the third round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Class 4-AA state playoffs in 2009.
