 The Watauga High girl's lacrosse team had a much better effort Wednesday night against West Forsyth in Clemmons, N.C. Unfortunately, the Pioneers (0-2) came up short, dropping an 11-8 decision
to the Titans. Senior Ava Moody paced WHS with four goals and two assists. Sophomore Courtney Kapral had two goals; senior Taelor Critcher and sophomore Katie Marks each had a goal and two assists. Senior goalie Keirsten Henson made 13 saves.
West Fiorsyth defeated the WHS boys, 13-8. Nick Williams had seven goals in the loss. Williams who has signed to play lacrosse at Alderson College, a Division III school in West Virginia, now has 18 goals on the season. The WHS boy's (2-1) and girl's lacrosse teams travel to Cornelius-Hough on Saturday. |
