 The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Golf Team finished play at the Pinehurst Challenge, hosted by Wingate, Tuesday afternoon at the National Golf Club.
The Bears had three golfers in the event and were led by senior Megan Katsch (Wilmington, N.C.). Katsch finished tied for 35th overall with a 169 (+25) on the par-72, 5,840-yard course. Wingate won the event with a 634 (+58) while UNC Pembroke's Meghan Moore was the top individual with a 149 (+5) after two rounds of play. Freshmen Elizabeth Ewing (Greensboro, N.C.) and Temple Cook (Morganton, N.C.) also competed in the tournament for Lenoir-Rhyne. Ewing tied for 52nd overall with a 177 (+33) while Cook carded a 207 (+63) and placed 84th in the tournament. The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Golf Team next competes in The Trojan Intercollegiate in Goldsboro, N.C., on April 8 and 9.
