Last Wednesday, narcotics detectives with the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office executed a traffic stop on a white Dodge pickup truck near the intersection of Wilson Drive and Deck Hill Road in Boone, seizing two plastic bags in their search of the vehicle. The bags turned out to contain 2.1 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a glass methamphetamine pipe, and two syringes, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The occupants of the vehicle, Christina Lynn Potter, 24, of Todd, and Jessie Kenneth Huffman, 27, of Vilas, were arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Huffman was also charged with Reckless Driving to Endanger.  Potter was held at the Watauga County Detention Facility under a $3,000 secured bond while Huffman was held under a $4,000 secured bond—both scheduled to appear in court on April 23rd.  The release said the investigation is on-going and more arrests are expected.
