The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (9-16) made it four wins in a row after defeating Pfeiffer (9-15), 7-2, Tuesday evening in non-conference action at Bears Field.
L-R senior first baseman Colton Hansley (Asheville, N.C.) hit the game-winning, two-run home run in the bottom of sixth inning to lead the Bears to the victory.
Hansley hit his third home run in as many contests for the Bears, who rallied from a two-run deficit to take the win.
Hansley's home run, his team-leading fourth of the season, gave the Bears a 3-2 lead before Lenoir-Rhyne added four more insurance runs.
L-R sophomore outfielder Ivan Vieitez (Miami, Fla.) added a run-scoring double in the seventh before the Bears rounded out the scoring with a three-run eighth inning.
Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Travis McQueen (Richmond, Va.) (2-3) won his second straight game on the mound after limiting Pfeiffer to just two runs in seven innings.
McQueen also struck out five batters while the Falcons' Former Watauga High Pioneers Ethan Greene (Todd, N.C.) suffered the loss and fell to 1-4 on the year. Greene went six innings and gave up three earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and no walks allowed. David Martin, Greene's teammate at WHS last season, was 0-1 in a pinch-hitting role for the Bears.
Kyle Hackney (Pittsboro, N.C.) drove in a run on a sacrifice fly for the Falcons, who were held scoreless after the third inning of play in the setback.
Lenoir-Rhyne remains at home to face Wingate in a non-conference regional game tomorrow beginning at 6 p.m. Pfeiffer, meanwhile, plays Coker in Hartsville, S.C., in a Conference Carolinas contest on Friday beginning at 2:30 p.m.
