L-R Women's Golf Opens Play At Hilton Head PDF Print

The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Golf Team began play on Monday at the Hilton Head Lakes Invitational at The Golf Club.

Senior Megan Katsch (Wilmington, N.C.) is the top golfer at the tournament for Bears. Katsch shot an 85 (+13) to finish in a 45th-place tie after the first 18 holes of play on the par-72, 5,901-yard course.
Lander leads the tournament with a 299 (+11) and has the top golfer so far after the first round in T. Caballer Hernani. Hernani carded a three-under 69.
Freshmen Elizabeth Ewing (Greensboro, N.C.) and Temple Cook (Morganton, N.C.) are also competing in the tournament for the Bears.
After the first round, Ewing is tied for 52nd with an 88 (+16) while Cook carded a 102 (+30) and is tied for 67th overall. The second and final round of the tournament takes place on Tuesday.
