Watauga High senior Kim Robinson hit a home run in Friday's 17-2 win at Hickory. That blast was her tenth career home

run as a member of the Pioneers. She also broke the school record, originally set by her sister, Laura, who hit nine in her playing career at WHS. Including travel ball, Kim Robinson has hit 41 home runs in her playing career. The Pioneers travel to West Forsyth Tuesday.

WHS SOCCER SCHEDULE CHANGE

According to Wwatuga High girl's soccer coach Brittany Bolick, the Pioneers will not play at Ashe County on Tuesday. That game will be played on March 25 in West Jefferson. The Pioneers (1-2-1), who lost to Alexander Central 3-2 in the championship game of the Freedom Tournament on Friday, travel to Taylorsville to play the Cougars in their Northwestern 3A/4A Conference opener Friday night.

WHS LACROSSE SCHEDULE CHANGE

Head coach Holly Quick has announced that Saturday's game with Cornelius-Hough was postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date to be announced. The game was to be played March 5, but was rained out. The Pioneers will officially open their season at Lake Norman Charter on Tuesday.
