 Two members of the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team have garnered 2012-13 South Atlantic Conference accolades, league officials announced today.
L-R sophomore guard Jazmine Charles (Lexington, N.C.) has been named to the all-league first team while guard Jordan Hiatt (Mount Airy, N.C.) has been selected to the conference all-freshman squad. Charles leads the team in scoring (11.5 ppg), three-pointers made (38) and steals (30) so far this year and was a South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman squad honoree in 2011-12. Hiatt averaged 7.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per outing this year while playing in 19 contests which included eight starts. The South Atlantic Conference's entire list of award winners was announced this morning just prior to the start of the league tournament.
