Noah Padgett met another one of his yearly goals by qualifying for the Junior Gold National USBC Tournament in Detroit, Michigan. Bowling in a recent

Tough Shot Tour event in Matthews, N.C., Padgett fired a six-game total 1016 and earned a spot to bowl at nationals in July.
Padgett is also ranked fifth in the year long point standings on the Tough Shot Tour which is a youth tour in the southeast United States.
Padgett competed this past weekend in a Carolina Youth Challenge Series (CYCS) in Statesville, N.C.
Padgett shot an eight-game qualifying round of 1488 and finished fifth in the six qualifying spots. In the opening round of match play,
which was best two out of three, Padgett won match play with scores 202-199, 183-187, and 214-194. This put him in the semi-finals where he won again in match play 203-192, 197-257, and 225-203.
Padgett, however, came up one pin shy of winning the championship. He lost to Ben Estes 200-199 in the finals, but he did receive college scholarship money which goes into an account which he will be able to use once he enters college.
Padgett bowls locally in the Saturday morning youth league at the Bowl Bowling Center and also competes in a Friday night mixed adult league.
