Due to a forecast for inclement weather and poor field conditions in the Piedmont Triad, this week’s baseball contest between Appalachian State University and High Point that was originally scheduled to

be played on Tuesday at HPU has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 27 and will be played at Beaver Field at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium in Boone. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
The April 16 matchup between the two clubs, originally scheduled to be played in Boone, will now be played at High Point.
Junior left-hander Chad Farmer (Evans, Ga./Greenbrier) will make his 2013 debut on the mound for Appalachian State (4-1) on Wednesday. High Point (5-2) will counter with RHP Ryan Retz.
