Suspicious Activity Leads to Four Charges |

Boone Police Officers responding to the parking lot of Walgreens on Wednesday evening, February 13th, were seeking a suspect after a suspicious activity call came in, possibly involving narcotics. There they found Michael Wayne Lyons, 33 of Bluefield VA, and after a search,
arrested him on four counts: Carrying a Concealed Weapon; Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon; Possession of Methamphetamine; and Possession of a Controlled Substance inside a Correctional Facility. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that. Lyons had a handgun concealed on his person and was a convicted felon. After Lyons’ arrest, it was discovered that he was also in possession of Methamphetamine, completing the four counts. Michael Wayne Lyons was brought before the Watauga County Magistrate and was given a court date of March 28, 2013 and held under a $30,000.00 secured bond. |
