A suspect wanted by the Avery Sheriff’s Office fled a Beech Mountain trailer through a trap door, then broke through underpinning. But Avery deputies pursued on foot, apprehending Matthew James Trivette, 27, of Elk Park last Tuesday after the brief chase. Trivette was served a warrant for Felony
Probation Violation stemming from felony drug charges that were brought about in September of 2012. The deputies also arrested Jacob Trivette, a family member of Matthew’s for Resisting a Public Officer and Simple Possession of Marijuana. Matthew Trivette was also charged with Resisting Arrest and placed under a $60,000 secured bond pending a court date on March 1st. |
