Investigators with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office arrest Misty Dawn Black, 35 of Linville last Friday afternoon on charges that Black attempted to obtain medications that had been prescribed to another individual. The original warrants were taken out by members of the municipal drug task force at the end of December last year. Black turned herself in to authorities and is being held on a $3,000 secured bond pending a court date later this month.
