Holly Quick has been named the new head coach of the Watauga High girls lacrosse team. The Watauga County School Board approved the hiring Monday night. Quick is the sister of the late Leigh Wallace, who passed away in December.

Quick was an assistant coach with the Pioneers the last two years. Wallace, who led the program for three seasons (2010-12), led the Pioneers to a district championship in 2010.
Quick will make her coaching debut on Saturday, March 9, when WHS opens the season at cornelius-Hough.
