A murder in Caldwell County--an incident at dusk yesterday on Kistler Lane in the Dudley Shoals community.   The call came in at 5:22 pm to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, reporting a shooting.  Deputies arrived on the scene found on person dead in their vehicle from a gunshot wound. The suspect was also located on the scene and taken into custody without incident. Caldwell investigators say the motive of the shooting appears to be a dispute over the use of a driveway. The victim is identified as Danny Marlin Bowman, 67, of 4930 Kistler Lane. 71-year old Ralph Barker of 4922 Kistler Lane was arrested and charged with Murder. He is being held in the Caldwell County Detention Center under no bond with a first appearance date of February 11th in District Court of Lenoir.
